Services for networks

Added

  • Networks can now list services. A build team, studio or dev team can offer commissions with a starting price, the same as a person can. Open Services in your network dashboard to add them.
  • Network services show on the Services page with a Network label, and in a Services section on the network page. The Services page has a new Offered by filter, and Vetted only now also covers Verified networks.
  • The Networks page shows how many services each network offers, with an Offers services filter.
  • You can ask a network about a service from its page, as a company or as a talent profile.

Changed

  • If you have both a talent profile and a company, the Services page in your dashboard lets you choose which one you are listing for.
  • Starting prices on the rate guide now include network services.

Minebit Link

Added

  • Minebit Link keys: on your company page you can make a key for the Minebit Link plugin for Paper servers. The key is only shown once and stored hashed, and you can replace or remove it at any time.
  • Server linked badge: a network whose plugin has checked in recently shows a Server linked badge on its page. It shows the owner controls the server. It is separate from the Verified employer badge, which is still checked by hand.
  • In-game application alerts: with the plugin, staff you give a permission to are told in game when someone applies to one of your roles. Only the applicant's display name and the role are shared with the plugin, never their message, email or profile.
  • A Minebit Link page at /plugin that explains the plugin, its setup and its permissions. The download button says Coming soon until the plugin is approved.
  • A public list of a network's open roles at /api/networks/your-slug/jobs, which the plugin uses to show roles in game and post new ones to a Discord channel.

Free job posts and job stats

Added

  • Bump: move a live job back to the top of the job list from its Promote page. Each job can be bumped once every 48 hours, and featured jobs stay above bumped ones. It is a paid promotion, free during the pilot.
  • Insights: a new Insights page in your dashboard. It lists your live jobs with views and applications, and shows a view chart, a comparison with other live jobs in the same category and suggestions for each one. The last 7 days are free. Unlocking a job extends it to 30 days for 30 days, which is a paid feature, free during the pilot.
  • Job stats: each job in your dashboard now shows how many people viewed the listing, how many in the last 7 days, how many applied, and the apply rate. Views do not count you or search crawlers, and counting starts from today.
  • Unpaid listings: you can now post a job or bounty with a pay of 0, and it is shown as Unpaid. Services can be priced at 0 and show as Free. Jobs, Bounties and Services each have a new Paid only filter to hide unpaid listings.

Changed

  • Posting a job is free, and it always will be. Only optional promotion, such as featuring a job or notifying matching talent, costs money.

Removed

  • The per-job posting fee and the payment step when publishing a job. Jobs now publish straight away.

Configurator jobs

Added

  • Configurator is now a job category, for setting up and tuning plugins and server settings. Jobs in it are matched to people who list Server configuration, Paper / Spigot, Velocity / BungeeCord, Skript or Datapacks. You can also pick it under "Usually hiring for" on your network page.

Hire without writing a job post

Added

  • Live server list entry: if you add a server address, your page shows it the way the in-game multiplayer list does, with the icon, message of the day, player count and version. It works for Java and Bedrock servers and refreshes about once a minute. Your Company page has a server check that tells you why if we cannot reach it.
  • Ask for quotes: write one brief, pick up to five people, and compare their prices side by side. Accept one and carry on in your conversation.
  • Bounties: post a small fixed-price task of up to $500. They run for 14 days, are free to post, and use the same applications, hiring and reviews as jobs.
  • Richer network pages: a tagline, server address, Discord invite, the year you started, and the roles you usually hire for.
  • Team on your page: list the people you work with. Each one has to accept first.
  • Hired through Minebit: your page shows people you hired and reviewed. Their reviews were already public.
  • Services: browse commissions with prices, and message the person who offers one.
  • Available for hire: browse people who have said they are open to work, in their own words.

Changed

  • Bounties have their own board and stay off the main jobs list. They still show on the network that posted them.
